The number of road crashes in The Bahamas that end in death are too high. Excessive speed has been the prevailing cause of many of these road deaths. There is a need to heighten public education campaigns to road users on the danger of excessive speeding and to abide by the Road Traffic Laws. We will intensify our approach and response to ensure compliance to all road traffic laws and regulations. This will be done through greater visibility of traffic officers in strategic locations.
