Police are investigating the country's latest Homicide

Police on the island of New Providence are investigating the circumstances surrounding a homicide that occurred on Friday 25th, June 2021.

Preliminary reports are that shortly before 8:00 p.m., police were call to a shooting incident that occurred on First Street, Coconut Grove. On the arrival of the first responding officers, their initial inquires revealed that a group of people were gathered outside a residence when a small vehicle pulled up. Three males exited the vehicle armed with firearms; they discharged their weapon in the direction of the group. This resulted in a male and female being injured; they were transported to the hospital by a private vehicle. The female later succumbed to her injuries. The male is listed in serious but stable condition. Investigations into this matter continue.
