A male was found lifeless in a structural fire

Preliminary reports are that sometime around 9:27 p.m., the Fire Department were called to a structural fire on Berkley Street, Ridgeland Park West. The Delta Units responded and moments later they arrived at a two-story stone structure that was engulfed in flames. The flames were eventually extinguished.

The officers then conducted a search of the interior of the building and discovered the unresponsive body of a male crouched in a bathtub on the top floor. Emergency medical services visited the scene and pronounced the body lifeless. Investigations into this matter continue.

Police found an unlicensed firearm

Preliminary information is that on Friday 21st May 2021 shortly after 4:00 p.m., acting on information officers from the Operations Unit went to a track road off Pitt Road. While there, they conducted a search of a discarded sofa. As a result, they discovered a black pistol along with15 rounds of unfired ammunition. No arrest was made during this incident; investigations into this matter continue.

Police are investigating shooting incident

Police on the island of New Providence are investigating a shooting incident which occurred on Friday 21st, May 2021 on Malaysia Way, Elizabeth Estate and resulted in a male being detained in hospital.

Preliminary reports are that shortly before 8:00 p.m., a male was walking along Malaysia Way, when he was approached by a lone gunman. The suspect discharged the firearm in his direction. This resulted in the victim being struck in the face. He was transported to the hospital in a private vehicle and is listed in stable condition; investigations into this matter continue.
