Police have launched an investigation into a shooting incident.

Police on the island of New Providence are investigating a shooting incident that which occurred on Friday 14th, May 2021 resulting in two males being detained in hospital.

Preliminary information is that shortly before 6:00 p.m., police received reports of a shooting incident which occurred on Armbrister Street, Fox Hill. On the arrival of the first responding officers, they were informed that a group of males were congregated outside a residence, when the occupants of a blue Honda Fit pulled up into the drive. Two male suspects exited the vehicle armed with firearms and discharged the weapons in the direction of the group, injuring three of the males. They were transported to the hospital in private vehicles and are listed in stable condition. Investigations into this matter continue.

Police are investigating the latest Homicide.

Police on the island of New Providence are investigating the circumstances surrounding the death of a male which occurred on Friday 14th, May 2021.

Preliminary reports indicate that shortly before 9:00 p.m. police were called to a shooting incident that occurred on Third Street, Grove. The officers, on their arrival were informed that a dark vehicle approached a group who were gathered outside a home. Two masked men, armed with handguns exited the vehicle and discharged their firearms in the direction of the group. As a result, four males were injured. They were all transported to the hospital in private vehicles where one of the males succumbed to his injury. Two of the victims are in stable condition and the fourth remains in critical condition. Investigations into this matter is ongoing.
