POLICE INVESTIGATES A SHOOTING INCIDENT

Police on the island of New Providence are investigating a shooting that occurred on Sunday 4th, April 2021.

Preliminary reports are that, shortly after 12:00 noon, police were called to a shooting incident that occurred on Nassau Street. Officers responded and on their arrival they met a male suffering from gunshot wounds to the abdomen. The victim reported that while at a domino game he was approached by a male with whom he was familiar. The suspect produced a firearm and shot him in the abdomen. The victim was transported to the hospital where he later succumbed to his injuries. Investigations into this matter continue.
