POLICE ON THE ISLAND OF ANDROS ARE INVESTIGATING A TRAFFIC FATALITY

Police on the island of Andros are investigating a fatal traffic accident that occurred on Friday 26th, March 2021.

Preliminary reports are that shortly after 5:00 p.m., police on the island of Andros were called to a traffic accident that occurred in the settlement of Staniard Creek. When the officers arrived on scene, they met a dark blue Honda Accord with extensive damages as a result of colliding into a utility pole. A close inspection of the vehicle revealed an unresponsive adult male trapped in the wreckage. The body was removed and transported to the community clinic where it was later pronounced dead by the medical practitioner. Investigations into this matter continue.

POLICE ARE INVESTIGATING A RECENT HOMICIDE

Police on the island of New Providence are investigating the circumstances surrounding the death of an adult male which occurred on Saturday 27th, March 2021.

Preliminary reports indicate that shortly before 8:00 a.m., police were alerted to the sounds of gunshot emanating from Gibbs Corner. Officers responded and on arrival they were directed to a residence where they discovered the body of a male, lying on the ground with what appear to be gunshot wounds. Emergency Medical Services visited the scene and pronounced the body lifeless. Investigations into this matter continues.
