POLICE ARE INVESTIGATING TWO SHOOTING INCIDENTS
Police on the island of New Providence are investigating two shooting incidents that occurred on Sunday 7th, March 2021. The events resulted in a male and female being detained in hospital.

In the first incident preliminary reports are that shortly after 8:00 p.m., a group of males were at a residence situated on Chenille Avenue, Garden Hill, when a small black vehicle approached them. An occupant in the rear seat discharged a firearm in the direction of the group, hitting an adult male in the abdomen and right leg. The victim was transported to the hospital in a private vehicle. His condition is not known at this time. Investigations into this matter continues.

In the second incident, preliminary reports are that shortly before 9:00 p.m., a male and female arrived at a residence located on Old Cedar Way, Yellow Elder Gardens, when two males emerge from the eastern side of the house discharging firearms in their direction. The female was shot to the neck and the right side of her body. Both suspects made good their escape. The victim was transported to the hospital and is listed in serious condition. Investigations into this matter continue.
