POLICE ARE INVESTIGATING SHOOTING TWO INCIDENTS
Police on the island of New Providence are investigating two separate shooting incidents that occurred on Friday 5th, March 2021. The events resulted in a male and four females being detained in hospital.

In the first incident, preliminary reports are that shortly after 7:00 p.m., a male was walking north on Key West Street, when he was accosted by two males. One of the suspects produced a handgun and began to search the complainant's pocket. The complainant managed to run from his assailants. However, he was shot in the right hand by the armed suspect while doing so. The suspects made good their escape. The victim was later transported to the hospital, his condition is not known at this time.

In the second incident, preliminary reports are that shortly before 9:00 p.m., police received reports of a shooting incident that occurred on Second Street, south of Palm Tree Avenue. Officers responded, and on their arrival they met five female occupants of a burgundy Toyota Corolla. Four of whom were suffering from gunshot injuries. Inquiries revealed that the vehicle was travelling north along Second Street, when the occupants heard sounds of gunshots. Moments later, the victims realized that they were shot. They were all transported to the hospital. Their conditions are not known at this time. Investigations into this matter continue.

POLICE ARE INVESTIGATING A HOMICIDE
Police on the island of New Providence are investigating the circumstances that resulted in the death of a male on Friday 5th, March 2021.

Preliminary reports are that shortly after 9:00 p.m. officers responded to a shooting incident that occurred on Lyon Road off Sutton Street. On their arrival, they were directed to a residence where they found the body of a male in a room with apparent gunshot wounds. Emergency medical service were summoned and on completion of their examination, the body was pronounced lifeless. Investigations into this matter continue.
