A MALE WAS ARRESTED FOR POSSESSION OF AN UNLICENSED FIREARM
The proactive strategies implemented by the Royal Bahamas Police Force have again resulted in the arrest of a male for Possession of an Unlicensed Firearm on Thursday 18th, February 2021.

Preliminary reports are that shortly after 2:00 p.m., officers from the Operation Unit were on routine mobile patrol in the area of Mark and Buttonwood Avenue, when their attention was drawn to a male who aroused their suspicion. The suspect was approached and informed of the reason for the encounter. A field search was conducted, and an officer found a black pistol containing five unfired rounds of ammunition. He was arrested and taken into custody. Investigations into this matter continue.
