POLICE ARE INVESTIGATING THE LATEST HOMICIDE
Police on the island of New Providence are investigating the circumstances surrounding the death of an adult male which occurred on Thursday 28th, January 2021.

Preliminary reports are that sometime around 7:00 a.m., officers from the Operation Unit were on routine mobile patrol along Graham Drive, Yellow Elder Gardens, when they were alerted by a concern citizen that a body was lying on a tract road unresponsive. The officers went to a tract road that runs parallel with Graham Drive, which is referred to as the Gulf. On their arrival they found the body of a male lying on the ground unresponsive with several apparent gunshot wounds. Emergency Medical Services were called, on completion of their examinations the body was pronounced lifeless. Investigations into this matter continues.

POLICE DISCOVERS AN ILLEGAL FIREARM
The efforts of the officers of the Royal Bahamas Police Force have resulted in the discovery and removal of an illegal firearm from the streets of New Providence on Thursday 28th, January 2021.

Preliminary reports are that shortly before 1:00 p.m., acting on information a team of officers from the Operations Unit went to Linkford Close. On their arrival at the targeted location, a search was conducted of a bushy area. During the search, one of the officers found a black 9mm pistol containing (5) five unfired rounds of ammunition. No arrest was made during the discovery. Investigation into this matter continues.

POLICE DISCOVERS DANGEROUS DRUGS
The efforts of the officers of the Royal Bahamas Police Force have resulted in the discovery and removal of dangerous drugs from the streets of New Providence on Thursday 28th, January 2021.

Preliminary reports are that shortly before 6:00 p.m., officers from the Operations Unit were on routine patrols along Pine Barron Road, when they noticed a male who aroused their suspicion. The suspect after taking note of the police, fled on foot and made good his escape. The officers conducted a search of the area where the suspect was observed, and as a result a quantity of suspected marijuana was discovered. Investigations into this matter continues.
