POLICE ARE INVESTIGATING THE LATEST HOMICIDE
Police on the island of New Providence are investigating the circumstances surrounding the death of an adult male which occurred on Tuesday 26th, January 2021.

Preliminary reports state that shortly after 7:00 p.m., police received reports of a shooting incident that occurred on Mall Drive off Soldier Road. On the arrival of the first responding officers, their inquiries revealed that two males were seated in a vehicle in front of a residence; when the occupant of a small vehicle approached them and discharged a firearm in their direction, injuring one of the males. The victim was transported to the hospital via a private vehicle where he later succumbed to his injuries. Investigations into this matter continue.

POLICE ARE INVESTIGATING TWO SHOOTING INCIDENTS
Police on the island of New Providence are investigating two shooting incident that occurred on Tuesday 26th, January 2021 and resulted in a female and a male being detained in hospital.

In the first incident, preliminary reports are that shortly after 7:00 a.m., police received reports that a female while entering her residence situated on Tulip Avenue, was shot in the left arm by someone unknown to her. The victim drove to the Grove Police Station, where Emergency Medical Services were summoned. She was then transported to the hospital where she is listed in stable condition. Investigations into this matter continue.

In the second incident, preliminary reports are that shortly before 9:00 p.m., an adult male was attempting to exit a vehicle on Dantura Avenue, South Beach; when the occupant of a vehicle approached him and shot him several times about the body. The victim was able to make his way to the East Street South Police Station where Emergency Medical Services were summoned. He was later transported to the hospital and is listed in stable condition. Investigations into this matter continue.

POLICE ARRESTED FOUR MALES FOR BEING IN POSSESSION OF AMMUNITION
The crime fighting strategies implemented by the Royal Bahamas Police Force, have again resulted in the arrest of four males for being in possession of ammunition on Tuesday 26th, January 2021.

Preliminary reports indicate that shortly after 9:00 a.m., officers from the Operations Unit acting on information, while in the vicinity of the Blue Hill Sporting Complex observed the occupants of a white truck who aroused their suspicion. The vehicle was brought to a stop, a field search was conducted, as a result one of the officers found a box containing (10) ten rounds of unfired .223 ammunition. Four male suspects were arrested and taken into custody. Investigations into this matter continues.

A MALE IS IN POLICE CUSTODY AFTER BEING FOUND IN POSSESSION OF DANGEROUS DRUGS
The crime fighting strategies implemented by the Royal Bahamas Police Force, have again resulted in the arrest of a male by Police on the island of Staniel Cay, Exuma for being in possession of dangerous drugs on Tuesday 26th, January 2021.

Preliminary reports are that shortly before 10:00 a.m., officers from the Exuma Division executed a search warrant on a residence situated in the settlement of The Village, Staniel Cay. The search resulted in a quantity of suspected marijuana, a bottle of hemp oil and a large sum of cash being found. A male suspect was arrested and taken into custody for being in possession of dangerous drugs with the intent to supply and possession of the proceeds of crime. Investigations into this matter continue.
