NEW PROVIDENCE
POLICE ARREST SUSPECTS FOR FIREARM POSSESSION: Police have taken an adult male and female into custody after an illegal firearm and a quantity of ammunition was found at a Pinewood Gardens residence on Friday 05th January, 2024.
According to reports, shortly after 10:00 a.m., a team of officers executed a search warrant on a residence located on Spruce Street, where they discovered an illegal handgun and a quantity of ammunition inside the home. The occupants of the home, a 38-year-old male and a 24-year-old female, were subsequently arrested, and they are assisting police with this investigation.
POLICE INVESTIGATE INDUSTRIAL ACCIDENT An adult male is currently hospitalized in critical condition following an industrial accident that occurred shortly after 10:00 a.m. on Friday 05th January, 2024. Preliminary reports indicate that the victim was working at a construction site located Ajax Street Farrington Road when he was struck in the head by a cement block that fell from the third floor of a building under construction. Despite wearing protective headgear, the impact was substantial and led to head trauma. The victim was transported to the hospital by an ambulance and his condition remains critical.

ABACO: POLICE INVESTIGATE LATEST TRAFFIC FATALITY Police on the island of Abaco are investigating the circumstances surrounding a traffic accident that claimed the life of an 18 year-old-male from Mount Hope, Little Abaco.
This incident occurred on Thursday 04th January 2024 at 8:10 p.m.
Preliminary reports revealed that the 18-year-old male, the lone occupant of a white Honda vehicle, was driving in the area of Blackwood on S.C.Bootle Highway when he reportedly lost control of the vehicle and collided in bushes on the northern side of the street.
Emergency medical personnel and a local medical doctor responded to the scene. After assessing the victim, they determined that there were no signs of life and pronounced him deceased.
This matter remains under active investigation.
