POLICE INVESTIGATE SHOOTING INCIDENT
A 25-year-old male is hospitalized in serious condition after being shot on Friday 25th October, 2024, at a private residence off East Street.
According to preliminary reports, around 7:00 p.m., the victim, while on the exterior of a home on Eneas Street, was approached by a lone gunman who opened fire on him, shooting him multiple times before fleeing the immediate area.
The victim sustained multiple gunshot wounds to his upper body and was transported to the hospital in a private vehicle, where he received medical care.
Police are actively investigating this incident and seek the public’s assistance in identifying the individual responsible. STOLEN VESSEL ALERT
Police in Abaco seek the public’s assistance in finding the following vessel that was reported stolen on Friday 25th October, 2024:
- A 23-foot white Mako boat with two (2) twin Yamaha 115 HP engines – stolen from a dock at Hope Town.

NEW PROVIDENCE
POLICE INVESTIGATE SHOOTING INCIDENTS
Police are actively investigating separate shooting incidents that occurred on Saturday 26th October, 2024, that have left two (2) adult males hospitalized and another one deceased.
In the first incident that happened around noon, the victim, who was seated within a vehicle on Willow Tree Street-Pinewood Gardens, was approached by two individuals armed with firearms. It is reported that these individuals exited a dark-colored Japanese vehicle and began discharging gunshots at the victim's vehicle, resulting in him sustaining multiple gunshot wounds to his upper and lower body.
The victim, aged 25, was transported to the hospital in a private vehicle for medical care; he is presently hospitalized in critical condition.
In the second incident that occurred around 4:00 p.m., police were alerted to reports of gunshots being discharged on West End Avenue and promptly responded. Upon their arrival, they found two adult males, believed to be in their 20s, suffering from apparent gunshot injuries; emergency medical services transported one to the hospital, while the other succumbed on scene.
Preliminary reports indicate that the victims, along with a group of people, were standing in the parking lot of a church when two (2) males exited a dark-colored Japanese vehicle and opened fire in their direction, striking both males multiple times.
The second victim is currently undergoing medical care.
Police are seeking the public’s assistance in identifying the individuals responsible.
