ELEUTHERA: POLICE INVESTIGATE TRAFFIC FATALITY
Police in Eleuthera are investigating a fatal traffic accident that occurred on Monday 5th August, 2024, claiming the life of an adult male passenger.
The incident occurred shortly before 10:00 p.m. on Queen’s Highway in North Eleuthera and involved a single vehicle, a red Ford F-150 truck driven by an adult male.
According to initial reports, the truck driver was traveling north along Gene's Bay Road when the 25-year-old victim fell off while seated on the truck bed. Following his impact with the road surface, he suffered severe head trauma and became unresponsive.
The local medical doctor arrived on scene, examined the male, found no vital signs of life, and pronounced him deceased.
Investigations are ongoing.

GRAND BAHAMA: POLICE INVESTIGATE ARMED ROBBERY
Police in Grand Bahama are searching for two (2) male suspects in connection with an armed robbery that happened on Monday 5th August, 2024.
Preliminary reports indicate that around 12:15 a.m., the culprits, armed with firearms, entered a licensed premises located in Seagrapes, Eight Mile Rock, held an employee at gunpoint, and stole an undetermined amount of cash and merchandise from the business before fleeing the area.
Police appeal to anyone with information about this armed robbery to contact 911, 919, or the Criminal Investigation Department in Grand Bahama. Anonymous tips are also welcomed through CRIMESTOPPERS @ 328-TIPS (8477).
NEW PROVIDENCE
ASSISTANCE NEEDED IN LOCATING PARENTS/GUARDIANS OF LOST CHILD
The Royal Bahamas Police Force is seeking the public’s assistance in locating the parents or guardians of a young female child found alone near Roosevelt and Jerome Avenue.
The child, who appears to be between 1 and 2 years old, was discovered shortly after 7:00 a.m. on Tuesday, August 6, 2024. She is of brown complexion and has short black hair. She is wearing a white shirt, pull- ups, and a pair of white socks and is unable to communicate effectively.
The child is currently in the care of officers at the Wulff Road Police Station. Police urge anyone with information about the child's identity or the whereabouts of her parents or guardians to contact the Wulff Road Police Station immediately at 394-4540/1, 3930825/6, or the nearest police station.
SUSPECTS ARRESTED & CRIMINALLY CHARGED FOR MAJOR OFFENCES FOR THE PERIOD OF 29th JULY, 2024 – 4 TH AUGUST, 2024
The Royal Bahamas Police Force's zero-tolerance initiatives have led to the arrest and charging of several individuals by the Criminal Investigation Department and the Anti-Gang & Firearms Investigation Task Force Unit.
During the week in review, the Criminal Investigation Department criminally charged nine (9) individuals for several offences including: Abetment to Commit Murder, Armed Robbery, Indecent Assault, Making a False Complaint, Murder, Receiving Stolen Property, Stealing by Reason of Service, and Violation of Bail.
The Anti-Gang & Firearms Investigation Task Force Unit successfully seized eleven (11) firearms and five hundred fourteen (514) rounds of ammunition, resulting in the arrest and arraignment of eight (8) individuals from New Providence, Grand Bahama, and Eleuthera.
The Royal Bahamas Police Force remains committed to the ongoing efforts of crime reduction and creating safer communities.

SEARCH FOR MISSING AIRCRAFT & PILOT SUSPENDED
The search and rescue operations to locate a missing aircraft and pilot have been suspended.
Officers from the Royal Bahamas Defence Force and U.S. Coast Guard engaged in an extensive two-day aerial and sea search in the area north of Grand Bahama, the last known position of the missing two-seater aircraft operated by a lone male pilot that departed Sebastian, Florida, on Sunday, August 4, 2024; however, combined efforts were unsuccessful in making any discovery for the pilot and aircraft.
