Full Military Funeral Service for Cpl. #3053 Ghia Richardson-Butler

Full Military Funeral Service will be held for the late Ghia Lamar Richardson-Butler, Corporal 3053 at 10:00am on Friday, 26th January, 2018 at Bahamas Faith Ministries International (BFM), Carmichael Road.

The service will be conducted by Bishop Theophilus N. Rolle assisted by Father Stephen Davies, Police Force Chaplain. Funeral arrangements are being handled by Restview Memorial and Crematorium, Soldier and Robinson Roads. Interment will follow at Lakeview Memorial Gardens Cemetery, John F. Kennedy Drive and Gladstone Road.

The late Ghia Lamar Richardson-Butler joined the Royal Bahamas Police Force on the 2nd March, 2006 when she enlisted as a recruit constable at the Police Training College, Oakes Field.


After graduating from the Training School, she was posted at the following Divisions:


  • Fire Services

  • Mobile Division

  • South Central Division

Corporal Richardson-Butler for her hard work and dedication to duty was promoted to Corporal on 1st October, 2014.

According to her supervisor Corporal Richardson-Butler, was an inspiring young officer who had a very bright future on the Police Force. She was a quiet, energetic and hard working officer who was loved by all she came in contact with. She had an amazing voice which drew her to become a member of the Police Choir.

On Thursday, 25th January, the body of the late Cpl. Richardson-Butler s will repose in the Foyer of the Paul Farquharson Conference Centre, Police Headquarters from 9:00am until 6:00pm.

She will be missed by her husband, children, family, friends and colleagues, may her soul rest in peace.
