Police arrested five people in Inagua around 5 p.m. on Saturday in connection with a large quantity of cocaine.

According to police, officers from the Drug Enforcement Unit assisted by U.S. Drug Enforcement agents searched a Haitian freighter docked at Inagua and seized the drugs.

This latest seizure follows two major busts from last week, where police seized nearly 10,300 marijuana plants on Andros.

The seizures were made following the discovery of two large cannabis fields in the area of Owens Town, North Andros, police said.
