Police Participates in Domestic Violence Month Ribbon Tying Ceremony

Officers from the National Crime Prevention Office participated in the Ribbon Tying Ceremonies in conjunction with Zonta Club of the Bahamas and the Pan American Development Foundation (PADF) program Women's Initiative for Non Violence Development (WIND) held at Arawak Cay on Thursday 23rd November, 2017.

The event was in reference to Domestic Violence Month which is the month of November to raise awareness to the amount of Domestic Violence we encounter and is signified by the orange ribbons.

The groups present included Ms. Anne Marie Bain; Public Relations and Ms. Theresa Adderley Community Relations of Zonta Club Bahamas, Ms. Latara Evans; PADF/WIND, Corporal 2198 Loretta Munroe and Constable 3651 Jerard Culmer of the National Crime Prevention Office of the Force, Ms. Nyisha Tilus- Miss University of the Bahamas and volunteer students from the Zonta Club.
