Police Fire Services Speaks to Annex Baptist Church Vacation Bible School

Consistent with The Commissioner's Policing Plan with regards to Working With Young People, in attendance Chief Superintendent Walter Evans and lecturer Corporal #3146 Ryan McPhee conducted a fire safety lecture and water display at the Annex Baptist Cathedral's vacation bible school on Friday 7th July, 2017.

The eager students learnt about, importance of not touching lighters and matches, fall and crawl, how to escape a building, calling 919 or 911 if an emergency happens and stop,drop and roll techniques just to mention a few.

They were also encouraged to dream big, that they could be whatever they aspired to be through God, hard work and commitment. Of course the highlight of the event was the water display where the students got to use the hose and saw the many patterns used to combat a fire.

Twenty-one (21) students and about thirty-eight (38) adults were in attendance.
