Police Seize Firearm Following Armed Robbery. Stolen Vehicle Recovered

Consistent with the Commissioner's Policing Priorities for 2017, officers from the Mobile Division seized a handgun and took two men into custody following an armed robbery on Tuesday 4th July 2017.

According to report, around 11:00pm, a woman was sitting in her Honda Accord vehicle in front of a business establishment on Soldier Road, when a two men armed with a handgun approached and robbed her of her vehicle containing her handbag and cell phone before speeding off.

Mobile Division officers assisted by officers from the Selective Enforcement Team intercepted the vehicle near home on Comfort Street, with two males, who were taken into custody. The victim's handbag and cell phone were also recovered.
