A team of officers led by Assistant Superintendent of Police Jamuel Ferguson; Second Officer in Charge of the South-Central Division, National Crime Prevention Office and the St,. Cecelia Urban Renewal Centre were in the Yellow Elder and Bozine Town areas as they conducted a walk-about.

The importance of the walk was a result of a recent double homicide in the area.

During the walk, the officers issued various crime prevention pamphlets and flyers relative personal and home safety, conflict resolution and neighbourhood crime watch.

The residents were also encouraged to report any and all incidents to the police via the crime stoppers hotline anonymously.

This initiative is consistent with the Commissioner's Policing Plan on the Prevention and Detection of Crime.
