SHOOTING VICTIM DIES IN HOSPITAL

POLICE are searching for two male suspects responsible a shooting incident that has left a man dead on Monday 5th June 2017.

According to reports, shortly after 9:00pm, a man was standing outside a convenience store on Rosedale Street off Mackey Street, when two men armed with handguns emerged from a track road and shot him before speeding off in a green single cab Ford Ranger Truck. The victim was rushed to hospital in critical condition where he later died.

Investigations are ongoing.

WOMAN IN CUSTODY FOR CAUSING SERIOUS HARM TO HUSBAND

A woman is in custody assisting police with investigations into an incident that has left her husband detained in hospital on Sunday 4th June 2017.

According to reports, shortly after 3:00pm, the woman and her husband were involved in an argument at their home located at St. Alban's Drive that led to her throwing a corrosive substance on him. The victim was rushed to hospital where his condition is listed as critical. The woman was later taken into custody.

Investigations are ongoing.

BRAZILIAN MAN IN CUSTODY FOR LARGE AMOUNT OF COUNTERFEIT CURRENCY

A Brazilian man is in custody following the seizure of a large amount of counterfeit currency on Monday 5th June 2017.

According to reports, shortly before 3:00pm, police acting on information went to a Hotel located on Paradise Island, where they arrested the Brazilian man after they found four thousand dollars in U. S. counterfeit currency in his possession.

Investigations are ongoing.

POLICE SEEK PUBLIC'S HELP IN SOLVING COUNTRY'S LATEST SHOOTING DEATH

POLICE are appealing to members of the public to come forth with any information they may have to assist in solving a shooting incident that has left a man dead on Monday 5th June 2017.

According to reports, shortly before 5:00pm, police received a report that a man was shot at his home located at Okra Hill. Responding officers arrived on the scene and met the lifeless body of male who was shot lying on the ground in front of his home. The man was pronounced dead on the scene.

Investigations are ongoing.

AMERICAN MAN DIES WHILE SNORKELING OFF PEARL ISLAND

POLICE are investigating the apparent drowning of an American man in waters at Pearl Island off New Providence on Monday 5th June 2017.

According to reports, shortly after 11:00am, the American man was snorkeling in the water near Pearl Island when he became unconscious. The man was taken to shore and despite extensive CPR (cardiopulmonary resuscitation) efforts the man was declared dead by a medical doctor.

An autopsy will be performed to determine the exact cause of death and investigations are ongoing.
