FIREARM AND DRUGS SEIZED DURING POLICE OPERATION, 2 IN CUSTODY

Consistent with the Commissioner's Policing Plan for 2017, An AK - 47 Assault rifle, two magazines and a quantity of dangerous drugswas seized on Friday 10th February 2017, byofficers from the Selective Enforcement Team during an operation on Pinewood Gardens.

Reports are that shortly after 12:00noon, two premises on Avocado Street were searched and thefirearm along with two magazines and a quantity of marijuana were found. Two adult males were taken into custody in connection the find.

TWO ARRESTED IN ELEUTHERA FOR DRUG POSSESSION

Consistent with the Commissioner's Policing Plan for 2017, Police in Eleuthera took three males into custody in in separate incidents for possession of dangerous drugs.

In the first incident around 8:00pm on Thursday 9th February 2017, officers in Eleuthera were on routine patrol in Rock Sound, when they intercepted a blue vehicle with two males. The vehicle was subsequently searched and a quantity of marijuana was found.

The two male occupants were taken into custody in connection with the find.

In the second incident, shortly after 1:00am,officers in Harbour Islandwere on routine patrol on Colebrooke Street, where they saw a man acting in a manner that aroused their suspicions of him. The man was accosted, searched and a quantity of cocaine was found.The man was subsequently taken into custody.

POLICE APPEAL FOR INFORMATION IN TWO SHOOTINGS

The police are also appealing to the public for information to assist in their investigations into two separate shooting incidents that has left three males dead.

In the first incident, shortly before 9:00pm on Friday 10th February 2017, a male was walking with two other males on a Park in Peardale, when a male armed with a handgun approached and shot him before fleeing on foot. The victim was pronounced dead on the scene.

Then shortly after 12:30am on Saturday 11th February 2017, a group of persons were at a nightclub located on East and Lewis Streets, when an altercation occurred that led to a male armed with a handgun firing several shots into a crowd. One male was shot as he attempted to leave in his vehicle. He was pronounced dead on the scene. Another male was taken to hospital where he later died.

Police are actively investigating these two incidents and have launched and island-wide manhunt for the suspects responsible.

MISSING PERSON - GRAND BAHAMA & NORTHERN BAHAMAS

Police in Grand Bahama need your assistance in locating 32 year old Krystle Charlton of #9 Pioneers Way.

She is described as standing at 5'9" in height, weighing 240 lbs. with dark brown complexion and heavy built. She was last seen on Saturday 21st January 2017 at the Rand Memorial Hospital.

If you have any information on her whereabouts you are asked to contact the Central Detective Unit in Grand Bahama at telephone numbers 350-3107 thru 12, or call 911/919 or your nearest police station.
