US VISITOR IN CUSTODY FOR DRUG POSSESSION
Reports are that shortly after 6:00pm on Tuesday 14th November, 2017 officers from the Airport Division acting on information, while at the International Section of Lynden Pindling Airport conducted a search of an American female and found a quantity of marijuana in her luggage. She was taken into custody. Investigation continues into this matter.

POLICE SEEK HELP IN LOCATING MISSING FEMALE
POLICE are seeking the public's help in locating 13- year old Dominique Johnson of Farrington Road who was reported missing by family members. Johnson is of medium brown complexion, about 5'4" tall and of slim build.

ILLEGAL FIREARM RECOVERED
Mobile Division Officers took another illegal firearm off the streets of New Providence, on Tuesday 14th November, 2017.

Shortly before 2:00pm, officers from the Mobile Division acting on information, went to the Moon McPhee Community Park in Yellow Elder Gardens where they made a check of a garbage bin and found (1) Black .9mm Smith & Western firearm and three (3) rounds of ammunition. No one was arrested in connection with this matter.

7 ARRESTED IN POLICE OVERNIGHT OPERATION
Police assault on crime continued last night with several operations conducted by the Uniform Division throughout various communities in New Providence. The ongoing police operations are aimed at suppressing crime in a number of areas and to send a clear message to those responsible for committing criminal acts on members of our communities that the police will proactively identify them and ensure that they are prosecuted and brought to justice.

During operations the 7 persons were arrested for a number of criminal offences and 112 persons ticketed for various traffic violations. 

ILLEGAL FIREARM SEIZED, TWO MALES IN CUSTODY
Proactive Policing initiates from Officers of the Anti-Gang and Firearms Unit, resulted in two adult males being taken into custody and the seizure of an illegal firearm on Tuesday 14th November, 2017.

According to reports, shortly after 12:00noon, Anti-Gang and Firearms Officers were on routine patrol on Moss Road when they stopped a 2005 Silver Honda Accord vehicle with two men. The officers conducted a search of the vehicle and discovered a black Austria Glock 9mm pistol which contained a magazine and six (6) rounds of ammunition. The suspects were arrested. Investigations continues into this matter.

SUSPECT SHOT BY POLICE, ILLEGAL FRIEARM RECOVERED, 2 CUSTODY
According to reports, around 3:00pm on Tuesday 14th November, 2017 Officers from Northwestern Division were on routine patrol on Baltic and Benico Avenue, Hillside Estate when they observed a white Honda Civic car at a stop. The officers recognized the front passenger as a wanted suspect.

As offices were about to conduct a search of the men, the driver reached under the driverís seat and pulled out a firearm. It was at this time that officers became fearful for their lives, shot the driver and recovered a black Taurus 9mm pistol and seven (7) rounds of ammunition.

The suspect was transported to the Hospital where he is detained in serious condition under heavy police guard. The other suspect was taken into custody. Investigations are ongoing.
