SECURITY GUARD ARRESTED FOR AN ILLEGAL GUN
Consistent with the Commissioner's Policing Priorities for 2017, Mobile Division officers, took an adult male security officer into custody following the seizure of an illegal handgun on Monday 16th October 2017.

Firearm seized According to reports, shortly after 4:00am, a team of officers from the Mobile division acting on information conducted a search of a security officer at a nightclub located at 6th Terrace Centerville and uncovered a Sig Sauer pistol with 4 rounds of ammunition. The male was subsequently taken into custody in connection with this seizure.

TRAFFIC ACCIDENT VICTIM DIES IN HOSPITAL
A man, who was detained in hospital following a traffic accident on Monday 9th October 2017, succumbed to his injuries on Sunday 15th October 2017.

According to reports shortly before 1:00am, the victim was driving his motorcycle on East Street near Andros Avenue, when he collided with a Nissan Bus driven by an adult male. The motorcyclist was rushed to hospital where he was detained in critical condition. Investigations are ongoing.

INVESTIGATION IN EARLY MORNING SHOOTING DEATH CONTINUES
Police are appealing to members of the public to come forth with any information that may assist in solving a shooting incident that has left a man dead on Sunday 15th October 2017.

According to reports shortly after 11:30pm, police received reports of gunshots being heard in the area of Meadow Street and Hospital Lane. When officers arrived on the scene they found the lifeless body of an adult male who had been shot. The man was pronounced dead on the scene. Investigations are on going.
