WOMAN MISSING IN CAT ISLAND
Police have activated a missing person alert for 74- year-old Janice Mildred Kissinger, a United States Citizen who resides in North Cat Island. Kissinger was last seen about 3:30pm on Friday 29th September 2017, at Shanna's Cove Resort in North Cat Island, where she was staying locally.

UPDATE
Police are reporting that the lifeless body of an elderly woman believed to be the American woman reported missing in Cat Island, was found a short while ago in bushes in North Cat Island.

Police have commenced a murder investigation into this matter.

Three suspects are in custody assisting in this investigation.

FIREARM AND DRUGS SEIZED DURING SOUTH CENTRAL DIVISION OPERATION
Consistent with the Commissioner's Policing Priorities for 2017, South Central Division officers conducted an operation in the division on Saturday 30th September 2017, that targeted a number of wanted persons and persons involved in criminal activities. During the operation a .380 pistol was found on Homestead Street and a male resident of Homestead Street was arrested after a quantity of cocaine was found at his home.

24 ARRESTED, 56 DRIVERS TICKETED BY MOBILE DIVISION OFFICERS DURING 48 HOURS PERIOD
Consistent with the Commissioner's Policing Priorities for 2017, Mobile Division targeted patrols intended to reduce crime, and to minimize the ability for criminals to commit criminal activities, has resulted in the arrest of twenty-four (24) persons during the past 48 hours for, possession of dangerous drugs and outstanding court warrants.

Additionally, 56 drivers were ticketed for various traffic violations.

POLICE SEARCHING FOR SUSPECT IN SHOOTING INCIDENT
Police are searching for a male responsible for a shooting incident that has left a man detained in hospital on Sunday 1st October 2017.

Reports are that, shortly before 3:00am, a man had just pulled up in his vehicle at his home located on Marshall Road, when a male armed with a handgun approached and shot him before fleeing on foot. The man was rushed to hospital where he is detained in critical condition. Investigations are ongoing.

POLICE INVOLVED SHOOTING
Police are reporting that shortly after 8:00pm on Saturday 30th 2017, a man was shot during a confrontation with police on patrol on Montrose Avenue and Wulff Road. The man was rushed to hospital where he is detained in stable condition. An imitation firearm was seized during the incident.
