MAN ARRESTED FOR FIREARM AND AMMUNITION
Consistent with the Commissioner's Policing Priorities for 2017, Police took a man into custody in relation to the seizure of a firearm and several rounds of ammunition on Saturday 16th September 2017.

According to reports, shortly before 10:00am, officers from the Mobile Division acting on information went to Wilson Track, where they accosted a man, and found an Antros Pistol with a magazine containing 8 rounds of ammunition in his possession.

POSSESSION OF FIREARM AND AMMUNITION ARREST- BIMINI
Police in Bimini have in their custody three (3) males who were arrested for possession of a firearm and ammunition.

Reports are that on Sunday 17th September 2017 shortly after 12:00am, police were on mobile patrol on North Bimini when gunshots were heard, officers then observed three males in the area of a business establishment who on seeing the officers pulled out a firearm, discharged the firearm and ran.

Offices gave chase where they arrested all three suspects in the area of a marina. Officers also uncovered a .45 pistol with a magazine containing (2) live rounds of .45 ammunition.

All three males are expected to be formally arraigned before the Magistrate Court early next week.

POSSESSION OF DANGEROUS DRUGS ARREST-GRAND BAHAMA
Reports are that on Saturday 16th September 2017 shortly after 12:00pm, Officers of the Central Detective Unit while in the area of Weddell Avenue stopped a red 2009 Toyota Yaris vehicle for a traffic violation, when they uncovered a quantity of suspected marijuana. The male driver a Freeport resident was arrested and taken into police custody. He is expected to be formally arraigned before the Magistrate Court early next week.

NIGHTCLUB OWNER IN CUSTODY FOR ILLEGAL GUN
Consistent with the Commissioner's Policing Plan for 2017, A Police Operation Team took an adult male nightclub owner into custody following the seizure of an illegal handgun on Sunday 17th September 2017.

Reports are that shortly after 2:00am, a special police operation team, acting on information conducted a search of a local nightclub located on East Street and Gibbs Corner, where they uncovered a Smith and Wesson Pistol pistol containing a magazine with 14 rounds of ammunition hidden in a toilet bowl.

The adult male owner of the club was taken into custody in relation to this discovery.

MAN ON BAIL FOR MURDER ARRESTED FOR ILLEGAL GUN
Consistent with the Commissioner's Policing Plan for 2017, Selective Enforcement Team officers, took a man on bail for murder into custody following the seizure of an illegal handgun on Sunday 17th September 2017.

Reports are that shortly after 1:00am, officers assigned to the Selective Enforcement Team was conducting an operation in Apache Alley off Kemp Road, when a man was seen behaving suspiciously. The man was accosted and searched and the firearm, a .40 Glock pistol along with 7 rounds of ammunition were found in his possession.

The man was subsequently taken into custody. Police can confirm that the suspect who is being electronically monitored is currently on bail for murder.

28 ARRESTED, 386 DRIVERS TICKETED DURING POLICE ISLAND-WIDE OPERATION
Consistent with the Commissioner's Policing Priorities for 2017, an island-wide operation the conducted by the Police Uniform Policing Divisions in New Providence on Saturday 16th September 2017 has led to the arrest of a number of persons and several drivers being ticketed for various traffic violations.

The operation was aimed at suppressing crime in a number of areas and to send a clear message to those responsible for committing criminal acts on members of our communities that the police will proactively identify them and ensure that they are prosecuted and brought to justice.

During yesterday's operation twenty-eight 28 persons were arrested for a number of criminal offenses and outstanding court warrants.

Additionally, 386 drivers were ticketed for various traffic violations.

SHOOTING VICTIM DIES IN HOSPITAL
POLICE are searching for two male suspects responsible a shooting incident that has left a 17-year old male dead on Saturday 16th September 2017.

According to reports, shortly after 6:00pm, the victim was walking on Johnson Road, Fox Hill, with another male, when two males in a gray coloured vehicle approached and shot at them before speeding off.

The victim was rushed to hospital in critical condition where he later died. The other male was not injured. Investigations are ongoing.

POLICE SEARCHING FOR ARMED ROBBERY SUSPECTS AND TWO STOLEN VEHICLES
POLICE are seeking the public's help in locating several male suspects responsible two separate overnight arm robberies.

In the first incident, shortly after 10:00pm on Saturday 16th September 2017, a man was in his Honda Civic car on Dawson Street, when three males in a gray Ford Explorer vehicle approached and robbed him of his cell phone, cash and vehicle before speeding off.

Then shortly after 2:00am on Sunday 17th September 2017, a woman had just pulled up to her home located in Kennedy Subdivision in her silver Nissan Fuga vehicle license plate AF3436, when three males approached in a Red Honda Fit car armed with a handgun and robbed her of her vehicle before speeding off. Investigations are ongoing.

WOMAN IN HOSPITAL AFTER BEING INTENTIONALLY HIT BY A VEHICLE
POLICE are searching for a female suspect who struck a woman with a vehicle leaving her detained in hospital on Sunday 17th September 2017.

Reports are that shortly after 2:30am, two women were involved in an argument in the parking lot of a local bank located on Blue Hill Road South that led to one of the women intentionally being struck by a vehicle. The victim was rushed to hospital where she is detained in serious condition.

The suspect fled the scene in an unknown vehicle. Police are following some significant leads into this incident. Investigations are ongoing.
