FIREARM SEIZED OVERNIGHT, TWO MALES IN CUSTODY
Consistent with the Commissioner's Policing Priorities for 2017, Mobile Division officers took two adult males into custody following the seizure of a handgun and ammunition on Monday 7th August 2017.

According to reports, shortly before 3:00am, officers assigned to the Mobile Division were on routine patrol on East Avenue, Centerville, when they intercepted a Honda Civic vehicle with two suspicious males. The officers accosted the two males and during a search of the vehicle uncovered a .40 Taurus pistol with 6 rounds of ammunition. The males were subsequently taken into custody.

12 ARRESTED BY MOBILE DIVISION OFFICERS DURING 24 HOURS PERIOD
Consistent with the Commissionerís Policing Priorities for 2017, Mobile Division targeted patrols intended to reduce crime, and to minimize the ability for criminals to commit criminal activities, has resulted in the arrest of twelve (12) persons during the past 24 hours for, possession of dangerous drugs and outstanding court warrants. Additionally 37 drivers were ticketed for various traffic violations.

POLICE SEARCH SUSPECTS IN ARMED ROBBERY AND SHOOTINGS
Police are searching for two suspects responsible for a shooting and armed robbery that has left a man detained in hospital on Sunday 6th August 2017.

According to reports, shortly before 4:00pm, two men were making a transaction over the sale of a vehicle driving off Frank Watson Highway, when two men armed with handguns emerged from nearby bushes and robbed one of them of a large amount of cash, and shot the other man before fleeing on foot. The injured man was transported to hospital where he is detained in stable condition. Investigations are ongoing.

POLICE SEARCH SUSPECTS IN EARLY MORNING SHOOTING DEATH
Police are searching for several suspects responsible for a shooting that has left a man dead on Monday 7th August 2017.

Shortly after 1:30am on Monday 7th August 2017, a male was involved in an altercation with several other males outside a nightclub located on Cowpen Road that led to him being shot. The male was pronounced dead on the scene. Investigations are ongoing.

WEEKLY PREVENTION CRIME TIP - If a crime occurs Ė report it! Everyone should consider it his/her responsibility to report crime. Many criminals target favorite areas and have predictable methods of operation. When you report all the facts about a crime, it helps the police assign officers in the places where crimes are occurring or where they are most likely to occur.
