ANOTHER FIREARM SEIZED, ONE MALE IN CUSTODY
Consistent with the Commissioner's Policing Priorities for 2017, Mobile Division officers took an adult male into custody following the seizure of a handgun and ammunition on Sunday 6th August 2017.

According to reports, shortly before 1:00pm, officers assigned to the Mobile Division were on routine patrol in Jubilee Gardens, when a male walking in the area aroused their suspicion. The male on seeing the officers fled on foot.

After a short foot chase the officers caught the male and took a Smith and Wesson handgun with 3 rounds of ammunition from his waist. The male was then taken into custody.

MALE IN CUSTODY FOR DRUG POSSESSION Consistent with the Commissioner's Policing Priorities for 2017, Southeastern Division officers took an adult male into custody following the seizure of a quantity of dangerous drugs on Sunday 6th August 2017.

According to reports, around 12:00noon, Southeastern Division were on routine patrol in New Hope Drive, when they accosted a male walking in the area who aroused their suspicion. The male was searched, and he was found in possession of 63 small packages of marijuana. The male was then taken into custody.

10 HAITIAN NATIONALS ARRESTED FOR DRUG POSSESSION IN INAGUA JOINT OPERATION Police took into custody ten (10) Haitian men following the seizure of a quantity of cocaine and marijuana during a joint law enforcement operation in Inagua on Sunday 6th August 2017.

According to reports, shortly after 12:00midnight, US Coast Guard Officials handed over to Police, Immigration and Defense Force officers in Inagua, a Haitian vessel that they intercepted in waters just off Inagua. During a search of the vessel, two (2) kilos of cocaine along with fifteen (15) pounds of marijuana was found. Ten adult male Haitian crew members of the vessel were subsequently taken into custody. Investigations are ongoing.

TWO MALES IN CUSTODY FOR FIREARM AND AMMO POSSESSION Consistent with the Commissioner's Policing Priorities for 2017, Police took two males into custody following the seizure of a handgun and ammunition on Sunday 6th August 2017.

According to reports, shortly before 4:00am, police acting on information conducted a search of an Infinity vehicle parked on 6th Terrace, Centerville and uncovered a .40 Smith and Wesson handgun with 7 rounds of ammunition.

Two male occupants of the vehicle were taken into custody. Investigations are ongoing

7 ARRESTED BY MOBILE DIVISION OFFICERS DURING 24 HOURS PERIOD
Consistent with the Commissioner's Policing Priorities for 2017, Mobile Division targeted patrols intended to reduce crime, and to minimize the ability for criminals to commit criminal activities, has resulted in the arrest of seven (7) persons during the past 24 hours for, possession of dangerous drugs and outstanding court warrants.
