SUSPECT WANTED FOR MURDER TURNS HIMSELF IN TO POLICE
Police is pleased to report that around 10:30am this morning (Thursday 3rd August 2017), murder suspect 22- year old Keyon Knowles turned himself into Detectives at the Central Detective Unit. Police also recovered a handgun from the suspect.

Knowles is wanted in connection with a shooting death of a man that occurred on Armbrister Street, Fox Hill on Tuesday 1st August 2017

TWO HIGH POWERED WEAPON SEIZED
Consistent with the Commissioner's Policing Priorities for 2017, police took two high-powered weapons off the streets of New Providence in separate incidents.

In the first incident, shortly after 9:00pm on Wednesday 2nd August 2017, Eastern Division officers acting on information conducted a search of an abandoned vehicle in an area off Kemp Road, where they uncovered an MP-5 automatic machine gun with 7 rounds of ammunition.

In the second incident, around 11:00am on Thursday 3rd August 2017, officers assigned to the Selective Enforcement Team acting on information conducted a search of well in front of a home off Sea Breeze Lane, where they uncovered an AK-47 Assault Rifle. No one was arrested in these incidents. Investigations are ongoing.

3 ARRESTED BY MOBILE DIVISION OFFICERS DURING 24 HOURS PERIOD
Consistent with the Commissioner's Policing Priorities for 2017, Mobile Division targeted patrols intended to reduce crime and to minimize the ability for criminals to commit criminal activities, has resulted in the arrests of three (3) persons during the past 24 hours for possession of dangerous drugs, possession of a forged document and fraudulent use of a license plate. Additionally 30 drivers were ticketed for various traffic violations.

POLICE SEARCHING FOR SUSPECTS IN THREE SEPARATE OVERNIGHT SHOOTINGS
Police are searching for several suspects responsible for three separate shootings that have left three men detain in hospital on Wednesday 2nd August 2017.

In the first incident, around 11:00pm, a man was standing in front of his home located on Key West Street, when four men in a black Honda car armed with handguns pulled up and shot him before speeding off. The man was taken to hospital where he is detained in serious condition.

In the second incident, shortly after11:00pm, a man standing near a nightclub located on Kemp Road, when he was shot. The man was taken to hospital where he is detained in stable condition. Then shortly before12:00midnight, a man was sitting on a porch in front of his home located on Tucker Road, when he was shot. The man was taken to hospital where he is detained in stable condition. Investigations are ongoing in all of these incidents.
