TWO SUSPECTS IN CUSTODY FOR YESTERDAY'S MURDER
Two male suspects are now in custody in connection with the shooting death of a male that occurred on Friday 21st July 2017.

According to reports, shortly before 4:00pm, two females and a male had just left a fast food eatery near the Oakes Field roundabout, when two men armed with handguns approached their vehicle and fired several shots before fleeing on foot. Alert Police Officers on routine patrol nearby gave chase after the two suspects but were unable to catch them.

The victim was pronounced dead on the scene. Police can confirm that the victim is on bail for a serious offence and he was being electronically monitored.

Police arrested two males into custody yesterday evening for questioning in connection with this incident. Investigations are ongoing.

HANDGUN AND AMMO SEIZED
Consistent with the Commissionerís Policing Priorities for 2017, Eastern Division officers seized a handgun and several rounds of ammunition during an operation on Friday 21st July 2017.

In the first incident, around 11:30pm, Eastern Division officers acting on information went to an area off Step Street, Fox Hill, where they found a .40 Smith and Wesson Pistol.

Then a few minutes later, Eastern Division officers acting on information went to an area off Armbrister Street, Fox Hill, where they found 26 rounds of ammunition. No arrests were made in these two incidents.

25 DRIVERS IN EXUMA TICKETED DURING POLICE OPERATION Consistent with the Commissioner's Policing Priorities for 2017, officers in Exuma conducted an operation in George Town that targeted motorists who were driving in breach of the rules of the road on Friday 21st July 2017.

The operation led to 25 drivers being cited for various traffic violations.

POLICE SEARCHING SUSPECT IN OVERNIGHT SHOOTING
POLICE are searching for a male suspect responsible for a shooting that has left a woman detained in hospital on Friday 21st July 2017.

According to reports, shortly after 7:30pm, a woman was driving in her Toyota car on Blue Hill South, when a man fired several shots at another man whom he was chasing. The female driver was shot during the ordeal and transported to hospital where she is listed in stable condition. Investigations are ongoing.

POLICE SEARCHING FOR ARMED ROBBERY SUSPECTS AND STOLEN VEHICLE
Police are searching for two male suspects and a stolen vehicle following an armed robbery that occurred on Friday 21st July 2017.

According to reports, around 11:00pm, a woman was about to enter her silver Suzuki Swift vehicle in the parking lot of a fast food eatery on Prince Charles Drive, when two men armed with handguns approached and robbed her of her vehicle containing her handbag before speeding off. Investigations are ongoing.
