SUSPECT IN LATEST SHOOTING DEATH TO BE ARRAIGNED IN COURT TODAY

POLICE are pleased to announced that an adult male will appear in court today at 12:00noon, to be formally charged with the murder of a man and the attempted murder of another man, that occurred on Sunday 18th June 2017, on Charles Saunders Highway.

POLICE SEARCHING FOR SUSPECTS IN THREE SEPARATE ARMED ROBBERIES

POLICE are asking the public to come forth with information they may have in solving three separate armed robberies that occurred on Monday 19th June 2017.

In the first incident shortly after 8:00am, a lone male armed with a handgun wearing a white mask and dark shades, robbed a service station located on Carmichael Road and Faith Avenue of an undetermined amount of cash before fleeing on foot.

Then later that same day shortly after 11:00pm, a man was sitting in his black 2007 Honda Accord car license plate AC5249 in front of his home on Faith Avenue, when he was approached by a lone gunman clad in all black who robbed him of his vehicle before speeding off.

A few minutes later, a man had just pulled up at a home located on St. Michael's Road in his blue colored 2006 two door Honda Accord car license plate 312207, when he was approached by a tall dark male clad in a gray hoodie jacket armed with a handgun, who robbed him of his vehicle before speeding off.

POLICE ARE APPEALING TO THE PUBLIC TO SHARE INFORMATION ON ANY ILLEGAL/SUSPICIOUS ACTIVITY IN THEIR COMMUNITIES, NO MATTER HOW SMALL OR INSIGNIFICANT (THE TIP) MAY SEEM, MEMBERS OF THE PUBLIC ARE URGED TO ANONYMOUSLY CONTACT THE POLICE AT 919 OR CRIME STOPPERS AT 328-TIPS (8477) (NEW PROVIDENCE) OR 1-242-300-8476 (FAMILY ISLANDS)

CRIME PREVENTION TIP OF THE WEEK- If You Witness a Crime

If you see or suspect a crime is being committed, pay particular attention to the features of the offender(s) and any vehicles involved. Try to be prepared to provide at least the following about the offenders:

  1. Age, complexion, height, and weight

  2. Hair colour and style, beard and mustache;

  3. Notable characteristics (scars, glasses, etc.)

  4. Clothing description;

  5. Location where last seen

  6. Last known direction of travel;

  7. Vehicle description and distinctive markings.

Witnesses who wish to remain anonymous may do so. It is more important that a response be dispatched as quickly as possible.
