STOLEN VEHICLE ALERT

Police seek the public’s assistance in finding the following vehicles that were reported stolen on Wednesday 04th April, 2024:

  1. A blue 2006 Nissan Bluebird (Sylphy) L/P #AM3805 – stolen from Blue Bell Avenue
  2. A beige 2005 Nissan Primera – stolen from Harbour Ridge Road
  3. An orange 2014 Suzuki Swift LP #AM3016 – stolen from Great Britain Way

If you have any information about these thefts or spot these vehicles, please contact 911, 919, the nearest police station or the Criminal Investigation Department @ 502-9991. Furthermore, anonymous tips are encouraged and can be submitted to CRIME STOPPERS @ 328-TIPS (8477).

MAN ARRESTED AFTER FIREARM & DRUG CONFISCATION

On Thursday 04th April, 2024, police officers arrested a 36-year-old male after confiscating a firearm, ammunition and suspected marijuana.

According to initial reports, around 6:00 a.m., acting on information, a team of officers from the Drug Enforcement Unit, with the assistance of the K-9 Unit, arrived on Tucker Road in Big Pond. There, they executed a search warrant at a residence, leading to the discovery of the items and, subsequently, arresting the lone male occupant.

At present, the weight and value of the suspected marijuana are unknown.

Investigations into this matter continues.

EXUMA

POLICE INVESTIGATE DEATH OF A FEMALE TOURIST

An investigation is underway by the police on the island of Exuma into the death of a 64- year-old American woman from Florida, U.S.A.

According to initial reports, shortly after 9:00 a.m. on Thursday 04th April, 2024, a married couple was onboard a pleasure vessel moored near Black Point, Exuma when the female became ill and started regurgitating, which led to her becoming unresponsive.

The female was assisted to the local clinic, where attempts to resuscitate her were unsuccessful.

An autopsy will be conducted to determine the exact cause of death. Investigations are ongoing into this incident.
