ABACO: SUSPECT ARRESTED FOR DRUG POSSESSION
Police in Abaco arrested a 44-year-old male on Thursday 22nd February, 2024, following a confiscation of suspected dangerous drugs.
Preliminary reports indicate that shortly after 4:00 p.m., during routine mobile patrols, in the Marsh Harbour area, officers observed a male outside a local bar acting suspiciously. They performed a search on him and found a large quantity of suspected marijuana in his possession, leading to his arrest.
The estimated weight and street value of the suspected marijuana is currently unknown.
Investigations continue.
ABACO: POLICE SEIZE LOADED FIREARM
Police in Abaco successfully seized a loaded firearm on Thursday 22nd February, 2024, in Dundas Town shortly after 6:00 p.m.
According to reports officers, acting on information, arrived to a bushy area off Archers Hill, where a search was conducted and a firearm containing ammunition was discovered and confiscated.
No arrest was made in connection with this incident. Investigations are ongoing into this matter.
