NEW PROVIDENCE
STOLEN VEHICLE RECOVERED
Police recovered a purple 2010 Honda Fit on Thursday 25th April, 2024, off Greenwich Street near Fort Fincastle. The vehicle was taken during an armed robbery on Wednesday 24th April, 2024, from West Avenue. The Criminal Investigation Department are continuing investigations into this matter.
POLICE INVESTIGATE SHOOTING INCIDENT
A 26-year-old male is hospitalized after being involved in a shooting incident in the vicinity of South Beach on Friday, April 26th, 2024.
According to preliminary information, around 10:00 a.m., the victim was preparing to enter his vehicle on Sea Link Drive when a lone masked male emerged from behind a nearby derelict vehicle and began firing multiple gunshots in his direction, shooting him multiple times.
The victim sustained gunshot injuries to both his upper and lower extremities and was transported to the hospital via ambulance, where he remains in critical condition.
Police are actively searching for the perpetrator responsible for this latest shooting, and are appealing to members of the public who may have any information about this incident to contact 919/911, the Criminal Investigation Department at 502-9991/2/3, or Crime Stoppers at 328-TIPS.

POLICE LOCATE MISSING MALE
Officers from the Flying Squad Unit on the island of Eleuthera located 44-year-old Donio Wood shortly after 2:00 a.m. on Friday 26th April, 2024, in the Gregory Town community.
The adult male who was initially reported missing on March 20, 2024, was found in good health.
