ILLEGAL FIREARM AND AMMUNITION RECOVERED
Police on the island of New Providence have recovered another illegal firearm and a quantity of ammunition, on Saturday, 3rd February, 2018.

According to reports, shortly after 5:00pm, Mobile Division Officers, acting on information went to Harrison Square off Yamacraw Road, where they recovered a black Austria Glock 9mm pistol and 49 rounds of ammunition. No arrest was made in this matter.

POLICE INVESTIGATES LATEST HOMICIDE
Police are asking the publicís help for any information which can assist in solving a shooting incident which has left an adult male dead, on Saturday, 3rd February, 2018.

Shortly after 11:00pm, a male went into the Southern Police Station with a gunshot to his body and reported that he was in his vehicle at the junction of East Street and Brougham Street, when he was approached by two men armed with firearms. The men demanded his vehicle. He declined and as he was driving off, one of the men fired a shot at him. Paramedics assisted the male to hospital and a short time later, he was pronounced dead. Investigations are ongoing.
