Assistant Commissioner of Police

Samuel Butler is a thirty-five year veteran of the Royal Bahamas Police Force.

He received his primary and secondary education in the government school system. After enlisting in the Royal Bahamas Police Force he continued his education, earning an Associate of Arts Degree in Law and Criminal Justice and a Bachelor of Science in Management. He currently holds the rank of Assistant Commissioner (ACP). He is the Assistant Commissioner responsible for Drug Investigations.

ACP Butler has served in numerous positions within the Royal Bahamas Police Force such as: Crown Prosecutor, Director of Detective Training. He is a senior criminal investigator.

He has traveled extensively on behalf of the Royal Bahamas Police Force throughout the United States of America, the Caribbean, South America, Russia and Rome.

ACP Butler Butler is a family man and is married to the former Deborah Johnson; they have four children. He enjoys being a father and actively participates in his children life. He is a proud and active member of Kemp Road Ministries. He believes in service above self.
