MR. ASHTON GREENSLADE
Assistant Commissioner of Police
Ashton F. Greenslade, Assistant Commissioner of Police enlisted in the Royal Bahamas Police Force on the 13th December, 1982. Throughout the years, he has worked in the following divisions in the Family Island and New Providence Districts, namely: Abaco District, North Eleuthera and Harbour Island District, Firearms Unit, Central Detective Unit, Strike Force (DEU) South Street (Central Division), Carmichael Division and Western Division.
Mr. Greenslade is presently the Assistant Commissioner with responsibility for Uniform Operations. Prior to his appointment, ACP Greenslade held Command in the Family Island and New Providence Districts including: Officer In Charge of Cat Island, Rum Cay & San Salvador, Mobile Division, North-Eastern Division, South-Eastern Division, Southern Division, Central Division and Complaints and Corruption Branch.
Throughout his career he had the opportunity to be a participant of training courses both locally and internationally. Initial training at the Police Training College consists of Tutor Constable Course, Constable Development Course and Criminal Investigation Course. His international training comprises of a Junior Command Course held in Kingston, Jamaica, Anti Corruption Course, New Mexico, (USA) and Commanders Course, Bramshill, England, United Kingdom.
Mr. Greenslade holds a Post Graduate Certificate in Criminal Justice and Police Management from the University Leicester, in England. He has also received police medals for Long Service and Good Conduct and Meritorious Service. ACP Greenslade is also the recipient of the Commissioner’s Commendation Award.
Finally, Mr. Greenslade is married to Hazel Greenslade and the proud father of three (3) children Ashti, Aston Jr., and Ashturon. He along with his family worship at Wesley Methodist Church located Blue Hill Road. His hobbies include Sports, travelling and meeting people.
